Hi, I’m Beth.

I’m an editor with twenty years’ experience working on non-fiction narrative and illustrated titles. I spent most of my career working in-house at Crimson (part of Hodder/Hachette), Welbeck (part of Headline/Hachette), and Gemini Books, in commissioning and managing editor roles.

I set up Beth Bishop Editorial in April 2025 and now work closely with publishers and authors, supporting books through the editorial process with clarity, care and a respect for each project’s vision.

I’m detail-oriented and I do love a deadline, but what really drives me is a genuine love of making thoughtful, well-crafted books that matter.

I’m happy to work across a wide range of genres (see the list below!), with a particular interest in wellbeing and personal development non-fiction – an area I worked in as a commissioning editor for many years.

When I’m not editing, you’ll find me cooking, swimming, learning a new craft or building my art business, Mabel Oakley Art.
