I can manage a team of typesetters, designers and proofreaders, from manuscript acceptance through layouts, to final print pdf.

I love to get stuck into a manuscript and work with an author to finesse a book – be it in content or style, to create the best possible product.

I believe a clear structure makes for a strong book, and can create clear, reader-focused structures for non-fiction books, whatever the genre.

It happens – manuscripts come in sub-par and sometimes authors aren’t available to fix it. I have robust experience of reworking unpublishable manuscripts into something worthwhile, while being mindful of the understandable sensitivities and author voice.

I work with authors during the writing process, and if needed, can edit chapter by chapter, providing guidance and support.

I’m always happy to fit in a straight copyedit or proofread, and implement a house style. I can work in layout and am proficient in InDesign.
